Your new company
You will be working for a leading housing and property company as part of their facilities management department, as a multi-skilled engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain permanent employment within a leading UK company. You will be working within a city centre location based within, but not limited to, Inverness. This position requires travel throughout the Highlands to different construction projects. You will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 and an excellent bonus package.
Your new role
You will be carrying out planned and reactive works within educational and leisure buildings, this includes repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis. You will be carrying out basic building maintenance repairs, which may include doors, floors, windows, changing of locks and basic plumbing. You should be fully conversant within your trade and be comfortable with undertaking works in which you may not be fully qualified for but use your past experience, knowledge and skills to complete necessary tasks. You must read and interpret engineering drawing and plans, compile quotes, check sub-contractor works and make sure they are of a satisfactory standard.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a relevant qualification, whether it is a time served apprenticeship or equivalent training, in Electrical or HVAC field. You should be fully conversant within your trade. You must have experience in a building services role, with excellent customer service. Due to the nature of this role, you should have a full UK driving licence. This role requires good written and verbal communication skills.
