Your new company

This is a fantastic site and opportunity for an experienced Facilities Engineer to take on full responsibility for all reactive and planned maintenance on site. You will ensure effectively delivery of Hard and Soft Services on a static site working alongside a very capable FM team to support them. This is a relaxed atmosphere and it is a good working environment.

Your new role
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of all Facilities Engineering and laboratory instrument services at a major R&D site in Cambridge. The Facilities Engineer will be providing a safe and pleasant environment in which the building users can carry out their functions. Key to this role will be to provide full reactive and planned maintenance support to site along with technical guidance. You will be responsible for all hard and soft services on site and will be a key part of the operational team, assisting and supporting the client facility.

What you'll need to succeed
As a Facilities Engineer you will be a technically qualified electrician, will have a good building services background with a broad knowledge of HVAC systems. A good knowledge of water management and the requirements of ACOP L8 will be highly beneficial. You will be an excellent communicator and planner, have an understanding of EHS and will have a good knowledge of Excel and other IT skills. Experience of working in a life sciences or laboratory environment will be beneficial.
