Our client is looking to take on a Facilities Manager to over see the capital works and building fabric maintenance working within the health industry. The candidate is required to be technically competent, fully proficient and have a 'hands on' approach. The post carries a responsibility for the day-to-day running and organising of all building fabric works, additional minor and capital works using both directly employed staff and external contractors to ensure that they are directed, co-ordinated and controlled to deliver fast, efficient, high quality and cost effective service to the client.
The successful candidate will have a hands on background with good technical knowledge, experience of managing and supervising teams and an awareness of aspects relating to health and safety legislation. You will have either a HNC/HND in building services, building studies or building surveying and you will have project management experience of refurbishment projects.
