An established M&E contractor seeks to recruit a Business Development Manager to play a signifant part in the growth of their regional businesses throughout the North, - encompassing the likes of Yorkshire, the North-West and Scotland.
Ideally working from a home base with access to a regional office available as and when required, your role will be to make contact and advance relationships with main build contractors and end clients alike and work towards being given the opportunity to tender for their projects or through negotiated/framework agreements as applicable.
You will work closely with the rest of the BD team to drive business forward through various means such as scheduled meetings, presentations and tender reviews. You will liaise with the estimating and design teams to ensure the client brief is met and then adjust aspects as necessary to secure the order and the business.
Projects will most likely be in the commercial field encompassing the public sector, with values from approx £0.5-5m.
The successful candidate will be a Building Services professional, with either a proven track record in sales and developing business or from a position with some exposure to front end negotiations with a real aptitude and willingness to sell.
